An “Israeli” soldier was killed and several others were wounded by an explosive device during military operations in Gaza City this morning – per a statement by the Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF).
He is identified as Sgt. First Class (reserve) Evyatar Atuar, 24 years old, of the Jerusalem Brigade’s 6310th Battalion.
The soldiers reached a building and began to search it. As four soldiers from the force entered the structure, an explosive device planted on the outer wall of the building exploded – according to the IOF’s probe quoted by “The Times of Israel”.
At least four other soldiers were seriously wounded, and another three were moderately hurt.
Hamas fighters set up a camera at the building and then detonated the explosive device as the soldiers entered the building – the IOF's officials believe.
